David T. Davenport, President
As one of the co-founders of Texas Protax Austin, Inc. in
1988, David Davenport is now serving as President of Texas
Protax Austin, Inc. As an agent, David focuses on vehicle
dealerships, funeral homes, fraternity & sorority houses, dorms, townhomes, and condominiums. He also specializes in homestead
exemptions and homestead cap issues.
As a previous
member of the Appraisal Review Board, David has an immense
understanding and familiarity with the Travis Central Appraisal
District. Prior to his involvement as a tax consultant, he
served in various capacities in the banking industry for twenty
years in Austin.
David obtained
a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University
of Texas at Austin.
David R.
Bawcom
David Bawcom specializes in commercial property with an
emphasis on offices, office condos, and apartments.
Debra G.
Bawcom-Roberson
Debra Bawcom-Roberson has been with Texas Protax since 1995 and specializes
in the property tax management of residential development
projects. She works closely with her Developer and Builder
clients to ensure the appraisal districts reflect the most
current state of development for each project under
construction.
In addition to her residential development portfolio, Debra
represents our clients’ commercial properties in Williamson county. She handles all types of commerical properties including industrial, retail, office, apartments and
vacant land.
Debra received her Juris Doctor degree from Texas Wesleyan
School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree from McMurry
University and she is a licensed Senior Property Tax Consultant.
Tony M. Blate
Dawn D. Brady
Dawn Brady joined Texas Protax in 2007 and specializes in both commercial and residential properties. Dawn’s commercial emphasis is on offices, office condos and apartments.
Prior to joining the Texas Protax team, Dawn worked as a commercial appraiser with the Travis Central Appraisal District. Dawn valued the Travis County Office Portfolio for over five years. Her area of expertise includes offices, major industrial, hotels/motels, banks, golf courses and funeral homes.nbsp;
Jeff S.
Nanney
Jeff Nanney has been with Texas Protax since 2000 and
specializes in commercial property with an emphasis on
industrial properties, warehouses, retail, and vacant land.
Prior to his
association with Texas Protax, Jeff was a vice president with
the Trammell Crow Company for nine years. As Director of
Industrial Property Management in Austin, Jeff was responsible
for the financial success and overall operation of eighty-five
buildings totaling seven million square feet of industrial space
for numerous institutional investors.
Prior to that,
Jeff was with the Travis Central Appraisal District for five
years in the Commercial Research and Development division
specializing in retail properties. He previously spent three
years at the Central Tax Authority in Taylor County as a
residential and commercial appraiser.
Jeff earned a
Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University
of Texas at Austin.
Greg M.
Walden
Greg Walden, heads up our residential portfolio. Greg has
over twenty-five years experience as a real estate appraiser
involving ad valorem taxation and mortgage lending. His
twenty-one year career with Travis Central Appraisal District
proves invaluable in representing residential appeals for the
clients of Texas Protax for many years to come.
As Director of
Residential Appraisal with the Travis Central Appraisal
District, Greg was heavily involved in everything from
litigation to developing computer models. For the past fifteen
years, Greg has developed cost schedules, written several
appraisal manuals, and was very instrumental in appraiser
training at the district.
OPERATIONS/RECORDS
Weldon Sikes
Weldon Sikes has been with Texas Protax since 2006 and specializes
in the client management and overall business system operations. Weldon manages the office administration and is the first line of contact for client inquiries, protest status, and billing inquiries.
Weldon studied International Business and Economics at Pepperdine University and the London School of Economics/Imperial College.
